Fordewind Ltd was established in 1999 by two old friends, Sergey Belousov and Sergey Nikitin (both former naval officers and nuclear powered submarine mechanical engineers). It is a small but very effective team. By year 2002 we have gained indispensable experience in a variety of business fields. And we have always followed the rule: put customer first, the main thing is good relations and trust.   Since 2002 we have been involved in the tire business. Our company specializes in collecting, inspection, marketing and supplies of used repairable Off-The-Road (OTR) tires. We do the best to meet the needs of tire repair and retread industry all over the world. To secure this we work closely with a number of mines as we do with transport, environmental and logistic companies. To meet the OTR tire shortage of 2005-2008 we had exported hundreds of giant OTR tires from Russia to the countries affected. Our goods reached Australia, Germany, Italy, UK, South Africa, Botswana, China, Malaysia, Canada and USA. Environmental Problem. There is not a secret, if a tire cannot be repaired at a mine's site, it can be moved to a dump or a "tire cemetery" only. It is the end of tire's life. It causes a lot of environmental problems. The situation is common to all countries in the world. Passenger and truck tires of small sizes and OTR tires of medium sizes could be recycled. But what to do with radial OTR tires of giant sizes, which quantity grows fast every year? Recycling them is far too expensive. Besides it leads to many other accompanying problems. A huge scrap tire stock is what we have seen everywhere. And neither open pit coal mines of Russia nor world known copper mines of South America could escape their lot.
